I've been Tagged!

This is my 6th picture in my 6th file. (Read down below to see how to do this)
Landry was 5 months old here. We had this silly little plastic penguin that he would giggle one of those deep belly laughs each time he laid eyes on him. I can still hear this funny laugh coming from my little bald baby boy. Oh, it makes me smile to think back to bath times with Landry and Mr. Penguin!

Be sure and visit their blogs. Lisa is a such a beautiful person inside and out. I love her realness and spunky blog. You will love her family and she has the cutest dogs!

Tara is so talented. (check out my blog button she did!) She does blog makeovers and you will enjoy reading about her family. Her beautiful little girl reminds me of Lauren at that age.

When I decided to blog, I only had in mind to help keep a journal of our family to print out for the 3L's someday. I never knew the bonus of meeting such wonderful people!

If you are reading this consider yourself tagged now!

(I follow a lot of great blogs! I want to tag them all. If you are new to my blog let me know. I would love to stop by yours and say Hi.)

Hot Chocolate.....

hits the spots on a cold, winter January day! The 3L's have just discovered this yummy treat. I can't believe we have never had hot cocoa before with them. It is getting pretty cold here in Texas (nothing like some of you guys! I once lived in Iowa so I know that Texans really have no idea of what cold really is. Right?) The 3L's put on their comfy pjs and we sat by the fire playing games. I forget that simple things like this turn out to be so much.and Landry.....if you read this one day.....know that momma had nothing to do with this. Your sister dressed you in a nightgown of hers because you couldn't find your comfy pjs. You thought this was pretty cool. Your dad just cringed. ha! Silly boy.
Stay warm!

The Reed Brothers Street Cleaning Service

I was cracking up when I went outside to find these two sweeping the streets with a big broom attached to their Gator. Luke said that they have decided to go into business together and sweep the streets in our neighborhood. Their plans were to charge the neighbors a quarter for the two of them to sweep the driveway and out in front of their house. Oh my little entrepreneurs! Don't worry Hoodies, I explained to them that it would be better if they just did it for free because that is what we should do for our friends. So for about an hour they went up and down the culda sac sweeping the street. ha! Casey and I just cracked up watching.

Lauren's birthday at home

Oh, I thought I had posted these. Here are pictures of my sweet 10 year old on her birthday. Look how tall she is? She is going to pass me in a couple of years with those long legs. She still melts my heart. I am so thankful God gave me a daughter! She is 100% Daddy's girl!

I can't believe she is in the double digits now.

Her brothers picked out her candles for her birthday cake....

they were sparklers! Let's just say they got it from her afterwards. ha!
Happy 10th birthday sweetpea. We love you!

Still learning so much about this blog thing......

and meeting some great people too! When I started to blog I only had in mind to keep some kind of fun record of our family. Scrapbooking is a beautiful art but makes me so overwhelmed. To me this blogging thing fits perfect into my life. I just never knew that I would also get to meet some really wonderful people. Plus, getting to keep up with my old buddies too. What a bonus! I have become a blog addict on checking our their sites. ha.
One of the blogs I follow is Tara's blog. She is a talented designer. On the side she designs fun blogs and buttons. Like this one. Check her out!

As far as life with the 3L's this week it has been busy. We are all still trying to adjust to being back on a routine. Oh, how I miss sleeping in during the holidays. ha! Have a great rest of the week friends.

Landry's restaurant

When we were in Dallas celebrating this past weekend Landry found his name on a sign. He said, "They knew I was coming didn't they?" Ha!

A surprise weekend for my soon to be 10 year old.

My sweet girl will turn 10 years old on Monday. Yep, double digits! Oh, my sweet baby girl is growing up way too fast. As I sit her tonight and think about what it will be like when the morning comes and I will now have a beautiful 10 year old daughter I can't help but smile and feel so blessed. God knew I needed Lauren. She has brought me so much joy and love that I never knew about until I had a daughter. Tonight I want to blog about Lauren's surprise trip to Dallas and save the other tear jerker post for later. This is hard my friends!
Lauren knew that we were going to Dallas for her birthday but she didn't know all about the surprises ahead. She took one of her best friends Tate to help celebrate. As we were on our way to big D she opened a card from us with a surprise inside.
She found out that she is going to American Girl store to get the 2009 doll and getting her ears pierced at the mall. She was so excited!
Big D here we come.

A 10 year old girls dream store.

Lauren brought her doll Mia.

I had a blast with these two girls! They were so much fun.
The store was amazing. So many little girls having the best time with their moms.
Lauren and Tate have decided that they want to work for American Girl when they get older. ha!
Having the best time!
What a fun day...wait there is more!
We had plans to ice skate but it was too crowded.
Dad and the boys had fun together too.
On to the second surprise......ears pierced.
We all gathered around for support. She was nervous (I was too! How do you explain that they have to do it twice?)
She had a few tears at first. We held hands and took a deep breath.
There you go! She did it. I was so proud of her for being brave. She looks so much older now. yikes!

After picking out some future earrings to wear. It was time for the next surprise.
Dave and Busters! This place is awesome. Just a ton of games to play.
The boys had a great time too.
Having the best day.
After dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse it was time for one last surprise...a carriage ride through Dallas. It was a beautiful night to do this.
Luke, Lauren, and Tate
Casey, Landry, and me

Lauren said on the way home that this was the best birthday ever. We all had fun helping her celebrate. So, in the morning when I wake up I will now have a 10 year old daughter and I will smile! You are everything to us Tootie. We LOVE you Lauren!!
Happy 10th Birthday Lauren
