We LOVE Zoe Kate!

This little muffin came to stay with us for a few days.
The 3L's cousin, Zoe, is just precious as can be. Boy, did I forget what it is like to have a 3 year old around. Full of questions, needing to go potty, lots of hugs and kisses and nap times.
I remember that stage with the 3L's being a challenge at times but so worth it. I would do it all over again!
Two peas in a pod
Since the 3L's don't take naps anymore we had to find a way to get Zoe down for one.
Uncle Casey was glad to help out.

Zoe Kate just fits right in with these clowns.
What a FUN time having this precious one at our house.
We LOVE you Zoe-Zoe~

Dog Days of Summer

It has been super hot here in Texas!
So hot, that even the 3L's are tired of our pool feeling like bath water. (This momma loves it!) So we thought we would take one of our English Bulldogs, Lucy, to Petco. I had already made my promise that we could take one dog to the store when I realized how am I going to get her in the car? She weighs 80 pounds. Well, I did it. Not easy and I let Lucy know that this was probably her only and last outing. I think she was grateful for that. She is soooo sweet, lazy, lovable, and such a snorter! Ewww.......my car smelled like a dog for days.
They walked her all around the store several times until Lucy just about had enough.
I love Petco!
I love that it is almost like going to the zoo with the kids and it is FREE.
One tired dawg.
At the store the 3L's begged and begged for another pet to take home. As if we don't have enough at the Reed Zoo! (3 frogs, 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 gerbil, and 2 fish) I told them that daddy would not be happy with me if I gave in. Like any kid who loves animals they were so disappointed.
UNTIL........we got to the car! Looks like the 3L's found them another pet to take home.
This little green guy was quickly scooped up and placed in a cup to take home by them. They named him "Lucky Hopper" because "he was so lucky to find us." (Well, I'm sure he thought otherwise with all of the touching and playing they did with him)
It was pretty funny watching them take care of this grasshopper all day. When it was time for bed they did the right thing and let him go in the neighbors yard.......ha! I don't want this guy eating my flowers?!? jk.
So even though it is pretty hot here in Texas, we are finding some good entertainment to help pass these "Dog Days of Summer"

The Monkey, The Dancer, and The Inventor

Can you guess which one Landry is?
I will say this sweet monkey was a real trooper as he went with me everyday to take and pick Lauren and Luke to camps.
Lauren's two best friends joined her this year for dance camp.
Lauren, Emily, and Hallie

Each day they learned a different dance from one of Midway's Drill Team officers.
I loved coming a little early to watch.
They had so much fun and were full of giggles.
Here they were learning Boom, Boom, Pow and how to show a little gangsta attitude with it. A funny story, Lauren was having a hard time learning how to booty shake in one of her dances. She came home and asked ME to show her how. I tell you it was a site to see (glad you didn't!) of us shaking it in the kitchen to Fergie. Let me know if you need a lesson! JK!!!
Here is my Inventor! Luke went to camp Invention this summer. For weeks we have been collecting broken items and recycle stuff. He got to make things out of them. I was kind of worried about him going each day form 8:30-3:30 but he was all smiles each day I picked him up. This is his kind of thing! He has always been interested in cords, fans, and how things work. What a super fun camp for Luke!
He was king of his group!
Luke came home one day with a toy that he made. It really shakes and moves. Casey and I were so impressed with his inventions.
Awwww........summer camps!
They are full of fun and make great memories.
