A Morning at the Museum

Ok, so maybe not the same thing as A night at the Museum movie but we sure had fun! Waco, Texas has one of the best museums to visit. With it being 106 degrees (yep, you heard right) the 3L's and I decided to find something indoors to do for the day. I always forget about this museum because it is clear across town but every time we go I always think to myself as to what a great place this is! The kids really, really had a good time. There is an adult side (not sure if that is really what it is called but that is what we call it) and a kids side. Both sides are a HIT with all ages. So if you are ever in town go to the Mayborn Museum! Sooo worth it. I promise I am not getting any kind of payment to say this. haha! Here are a few (I mean many) pictures from our FUN day out of the sun.
The 3L's on the adult side.

Some kind of dinosaur whale head and Lauren

Mammoth fossil and baby found right here in Waco, Texas. When you walk into this room you hear BIG foot step noises and get to read all about this creature from long ago.
Looks real doesn't it? It took me some time to
convince Landry he wasn't.
Having fun with the kiddos (I am not pregnant in this picture. My dress had a mind of its own. ha!)

I really have lots more pictures of this side but will spare you all the pictures. I think the 3L's loved the adult side as much as the kids side.

The kids side with the 3L's.
They have animals that you can touch and hold.

Introducing the new anchors for Kids News on channel 10, Luke and Landry Reed. They cover important stories throughout the day. Like how many marshmallows can you stuff in your mouth at one time and how to make your sister made in less than a minute. Coming to your TV soon. (hope not!)

Luke could stay here all day just watching the big train display and tracks.
They even had a tea party for my not so little girl.

My foreign exchange students

This is the next Tom Hanks for the remake of the movie Big.
We had lots of fun that day! Thanks for looking.

It may have been 102 today but it was sure COOL ....

to have over our good friends over for a swim!
The 3L's asked Abby and Walker to come take a dip with them in the pool. I can't get over that it is only June here in Texas and we are already reaching temps over 100. Yikes! We are definitely going through the sunscreen here at the Reed house.

Stay cool!

Awww....a relaxing weekend!

This weekend was perfect! Nothing to do and no where to go. We started it off with some fun candy apples for the 3L's. They called this little creation "Worms in a dirty apple" nice huh? Tasted pretty good though!
Then a little early celebrations with daddy. The 3L's love to pick him out ties since he has to wear one to work all the time.

Then a little swim in the pool followed by some homemade orange Sunkist icecream
. Yum!
A little Father's Day cake to help celebrate.....hmmmmm....no wonder I was thinking this was a perfect weekend. We had tons of sweets at the house! haha.

The 3L's can't help but to make daddy the craziest cakes. Maybe one day he will get to choose what kind of cake he wants. ha! Until then, it will always be monster cakes for Father's Day. We love a good laugh at our house.

All of these simple (wonderful) little things made it the perfect weekend at the Reed house.
Have a blessed week friends and family!
