Thankful Thursday

It is a little late but still Thursday. I am thankful for this little boy and the tears of laughter he brings. My mom took this picture while we were away.....let me explain. Landry was told by Appy to go in time out over something he did and "think about what you did." Let me say that my mom hardly ever disciplines her grandkids but I think he was being a real stinker and needed one! Anyway, Landry hoped up in the chair and after some time he began to yell out to my mom. It went a little something like this.
L: Appy can you hear me?
A: What Landry?
L: I said can you hear me?
A: Hear what?
L: I am thinking Appy. I am thinking about what I did wrong.
L: Can God hear me too?
L: Am I too loud?

The 3L's having fun with their Grandmothers.

While Casey and I were in Canada my sweet Mom (Appy as the kids call her) and Grandmother (Gmaw) stayed with the 3L's. We had no doubt that they were going to be well taken care of and loved on. I live about 8 hours away from my family so it is always a treat for us to have them come see us. Thank you Appy and Gmaw! They had the BEST time with their Grandmothers. My mom just picks up where I left off with them. I hope to be like her someday in many ways!

They went to a children's garden fair.
Having fun!
This is my grandmother (their great grandmother) who is in her late 80's. Can you believe that? She is amazing! She can out run me anyday. ha! My grandmother is so special to me and I love every minute I get to spend with her. I can't imagine life without her. The 3L's think she is so fun too. You often catch her on the floor giving horsey rides.
An interesting thing happened while we were away. For sometime now we have lost all of Landry's shoes. Casey and I have looked everywhere for a pair that matched. Gmaw found 9 shoes in the couch while we were gone. It seems I have a little chipmunk that likes to hide his shoes!

Back from Canada right!

We are back from our awesome trip to Toronto Canada right! It was so pretty there right! (said in my best Canadian accent. They use right at the end of every sentence. Casey and I quickly picked this up. ha!) It was definitely Fall there.....awwwww........we just don't see this kind of stuff in Texas. My sweet guy is #1 in the nation with his Viagra numbers. Yes, you heard right he sells the little blue pill and no we did not need that getting the 3L's (such a common question. ha!) This is why we were in Canada for a Urology convention for doctors.
The weather was in the low 40's. Such a change from our Texas fall weather of 80's.
It was so nice to spend time together without little voices interrupting us. We enjoyed the time away but our hearts were always with the 3L's back at home.Southern girl now a City girl!
Every where you went had amazing sites to see. The lake was right behind our hotel and we would sit on a bench in the park watching these little sail boats floating by. It was peaceful.
Acting like newly weds. ha!

The old town hall.

Second tallest tower in the world.
Still playing that newly wed game!
Hard Rock Cafe
Down town seemed just like New York. So many lights, tall buildings, cabs, stores, bums, and people on every corner trying to entertain you for some change. A little bit different from Texas!
It was an amazing trip. I am so grateful for the opportunity to spend time with the man I am in love with still after 11 years. Thanks honey!

We got home at 12pm last night. The 3 L's were in bed and it was hard not to peek in on them. This morning was full of hugs and kisses from my beautiful family. Even though our trip together was so much fun, we sure wouldn't trade all the peace and quiet in the world for this time in our lives. Being away reminded me of how lucky I am to be their mom. They bring me so much joy and I am where I want to be in life. Thank you Lord for my sweet family:)
(Appy and Grandma post to follow soon. The kids had a blast with them)
