Life with a teenager and neighborhood fun!
So this is what it looks like when you have a teenager in the car. A phone in her hand! Who am I kidding? This little device is attached to her always. I caught her on her phone and snapped this pic. When she caught me, I was in trouble!
Spring Break is a fun time for the neighborhood kids to get together. I can't get over how fast these guys are growing up. I hope one day they will all look back and remember the fun times they had with their close friends who lived next door.
Gotta love sweet and sassy girls!

Valentine's Dance 2012
Lauren's "boy who is a friend" as we call him brought over a gift for Valentine's Day. Whoa!.......really? Diamond earrings? Her daddy and I about flipped. Gage asked her to the V-day dance. She was on cloud nine.
Her daddy had a hard time letting her go. It isn't easy seeing your baby girl look so grown up. Lauren is a sweet girl with a pure heart so I think that made it a little easier on us.
Her BFF, Hallie, joined Lauren and Gage for the dance.

Celebrating a new baby girl in the Hood!
This beautiful baby girl, Brianna, belongs to one of our dear friends in the neighborHOOD. Well, they used to live in the Hood, but we make sure they come back and visit! Pam and Shannon prayed for this dumpling for a very long time. It was an honor to welcome her and shower her family with gifts.

Poor Lukey
Luke fell off the slide at school and had to get crutches. Daddy sent this picture to me while I was at work. So blessed he didn't break something. Just a bad twist. Love you, Luke!!!
Happy 13th Birthday, Lauren!
I have a TEEN! Oh my, am I really that old enough to have a teenager in the house? I guess so. My sweet baby girl (yes, I feel like I can call her that and even when she is in her 30's I will probably still call her that!) turned the big 13 on January 5th. This year instead of planning a birthday party I asked her to trust me with her birthDAY. She agreed.
It was a day full of surprises! I had several envelopes filled with messages for her to open one at a time. The messages would tell her a clue and she would have to guess where we were going.
Envelope #1 You have a guest waiting for you at the mall. Get ready to Sky Jump!
Her BFF, Hallie, was already with her so she couldn't guess who was going to be at the mall waiting for her?..................her boyfriend.....Gage! His family helped me plan for Gage to show up at the right time. She turned red!!! blushhh........
Gage surprised her with a necklace.
She was ALL smiles!
Envelope and envelope, the girls were having fun!
Of course, we let the newly TEEN walk around the mall with her friends alone while we waited. Gotta LOVE a family trying to give a teen some space and ready to go!
We headed to dinner at Fuji.
A trip to paint! Boy, by now I was getting tired of these envelopes of FUN. She loved it!
Just when she thought is was over.........I had planned a midnight scavenger hunt at Walmart!!! They had a list of items to find and take pictures of and they had to go in their pjs.
It IS walmart you know!
