Mother's Day Brunch with Landry

Landry's school had a Mother's Day Brunch on Friday. I had been hearing all week that he had some special songs and Mother's day presents planned for me. He so wanted to tell me about them all week. I am surprised he kept it in! Sweet boy:) When Friday came we put on our Sunday best and went to Mother's Day Brunch at First Woodway Christian School.
We both couldn't wait!
(check out my special flower that was made just for me! I am wearing it all weekend)
This was my 3rd time to do this and my last time too.
I tried to hold back the tears throughout the program. It was hard!
They sang some of the cutest songs and I don't think there was a dry eye afterwards.
I love hearing children sing!
Especially this one!
Everything I was given was made with a 100% love and effort from this sweet guy.
Just melted my heart
When his teacher asked him questions about me, it made me laugh at his responses. I guess I wear my comfy robe around the house too much. ha!
That boy knows what his Momma likes!
It was one of the sweetest Mother's Day Brunches ever and I have this sweet boy to thank!
Thank you Landry for making your mommy feel so special! I could not have asked for more~Mom

Kindergarten Registration....... or maybe not!

What a day!
After spending a fabulous time at the park with some precious friends, it was time for Landry's Kindergarten Registration. I have been kind of sad all day thinking about doing this with my LAST kiddo. Somebody hold me now!

Well, it turns out I didn't have to go through this big day after all. A little change in plans......stitches for Landry at the Urgent Care. Poor buddy. He slipped on the hard wood floors and fell right into a table. It sliced open his ear about an inch long. Gushed blood everywhere. He was so scared. (Just a little side note, I am not super nurse when it comes to my kids. I just want to cry with them!) We got it to slow down bleeding and ran up to school to grab his important papers for next year. As we were out the door his new principal asked where are we going? You should have seen her face when we smiled and said a quick trip to get some stitches.
Landry Love couldn't have done any better! He was still and even smiled at the doc as she sewed him up. (thanks to emla numbing cream. whew!)
All better and a little sleepy:)

What a Day!

Wonder what kind of distraction I can come up with on his first day of school in August? ha!

Landry~You were so brave with your very first stitches. I have a feeling there are more to come with you! We LOVE you infinity and back (your favorite saying to us). Mommy is already praying over your exciting year as a big kindergartner. You will LOVE it! Feel better soon~Mom

It's beginning to look a lot like Summer!

The days have been just beautiful here in Hewitt. We all have been hanging out by the pool and planting flowers. Getting ready for some pool parties to come! I caught Lauren asleep on the hammock one day this week. She was out!
Sleeping beauty.
Well, that is until her daddy came over to bother her.
Oh, she did not like that!
I love this time of year. The beautiful hibiscus are blooming, the weather isn't muggy yet, and it is nice to get that tan started!
When we decided to build our pool a couple of years ago, I was really kind of nervous. The upkeep, making sure the kids and neighborhood kids were always safe around it, and hoping the dogs stayed away from it. These thoughts always run through my mind still but it has been so much fun. I love seeing the memories it is making for the 3L's.

I have a feeling this is going to be a great summer!
Just waiting for school to be out!!!

Meet Ginger!

Sweet L got her wish......a gerbil named Ginger.
She was SOOOOO excited to pick her out at PetCo.
She promises to take good care of her, clean her cage, and feed/water her.
We will see!

We probably don't really need another animal here at the Reed house (2 bulldogs, 2 cats, 2 fish, and 3 frogs) but Ginger seems to fit in. Plus, Lauren is keeping her promises so far!

Welcome Ginger!
