My litte builder and his little brother...

Luke loves to build things. He could play with Legos and Lincoln Logs all day. I think he just may be an architect or engineer someday. Here he is so proud of his two story house with windows. Until....
He left the room to get something and I think his little brother saw the opportunity to be a part of the wrecking crew. oops!

Oh, the drama.

The guilty one.

No worries! A little wresting with dad always makes it better.
I LOVE having boys. (and a girl too!)

The Star on our hands....

In the previous post I mentioned that we all had our stars on our hands for TAKS day. What is this? Casey and I draw a star on our hands (somewhere that we can see it throughout the day) to remind us to pray for Lauren every time we see it. We place a star on Lauren's hand to remind her every time she sees it that mom and dad are praying for her today. Plus, she will always be our star! Sweet Lauren took her 4th grade math and reading TAKS yesterday and today....whew! She felt really good about it. Lauren said that kids would ask her what is the star for? She said, "It means mom and dad are praying for me today and that I am a star in their eyes."
Lauren's star.

I had several patients ask me before their surgery what is that on my hand. I would gladly explain and then lift her up in prayer. It kept me accountable to my promise to her.
This is Casey's star.

Lauren, someday when you ready this I want you to know that you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. We will always support you, pray for you, and encourage you. Sweetpea, God loves you and so do we.
You are our shinning star!

Rock the TAKS sweet Lauren!

My big 4th grader (sniff, sniff) is taking her state test today and her daddy and I want to wish her the VERY BEST on her test! Sweetpea, I know you will do great. Know that we LOVE you so very much and will be praying for you ALL day. We have our stars on our hands!

Last night we made it a family FUN night. Landry Love was feeling much better by then too! A little ice cream and motrin will make anyone feel better right?

Then is was time for a game of Twister....ouch! I had forgotten how this game makes you almost split in two.

Followed by a dog pile on Lauren to wish her luck on her test.

Good luck sweetpea!

Landry's turn...

Well, I guess it was his time. Sweet Lanny boy is sick. This has been a nasty virus that has now got a hold of all 3L's. High fevers and throwing up. Hopefully it won't last long and I will see my little Lighting McQueen boy running around the house with his cars.
Get well Landry Love~mom
