Luke's First Grade Open House Night

Recently we went to Luke's school for open house and see all of the wonderful things he has been learning about in class.

He could not wait to show us his work and say hello to his sweet teacher, Mrs. B.

Luke just loves her!

Last year in kindergarten Luke hated to color. He would try every excuse to not have to color. Now look at him! He has turned into a little artist and enjoys it now.

Of course the biggest excitement of the night was to go see
Bertie the First Place Bat on display.

Boy, it seems like yesterday......Lauren at Spring Valley with Luke.......now just Luke there........and next year it will be Luke and Landry at Spring Valley. I am sure thankful for such a GREAT school and all that it offers my 3L's!

A little night time competition for Casey and I....

It used to be a treat for Casey and I to read to Landry at night. To cuddle up to this little guy and read books at night was the perfect way to end our day. Move over mom and dad.....Luke has taken our spot.

You talk about melt our hearts in a hurry! Casey and I stand on the other side of the wall where they can't see us and just listen to Luke read to Landry.

Man, I cherish precious times like this and give thanks for two sweet brothers.

Birthday fun with Dad

The 3L's and I had a wonderful time celebrating Casey's 37th birthday. Lots of hugs and kisses for this sweet man in our lives.

Lauren made Casey a special birthday card from scratch.

It sure brought tears to this daddy's eyes.

I have been given Casey a hard time that I married an older man. (I can only say this for about a month until my birthday.......unless the birthday fairy has heard my prayers to cancel mine!)

It was one sweet weekend full of birthday cookie cake and lots of love
for this 37 year old.
