Go Texas Tech! Beat UT!

This is my sweet pea trying on her Red Raider cheerleader uniform to make sure it fits for the BIG game this weekend. This Saturday Tech plays Texas in Lubbock. If it wasn't for Halloween I think the Reeds would jump in the car just to go to the tailgating. So much fun!
Oh, I love this little girl!
Sassy, funny, and full of life

You may or may not be a Texas Tech cheerleader someday like you dream of but you will always be our adorable Red Raider.
Get your Guns Up this Weekend! Go Texas Tech!

Easy Halloween treats to make with the kids

Every year my family makes these together. I wanted to share them with you! Halloween Ghost
Dip Nutty-butters in melted white chocolate and set them on wax paper to dry. Quickly place small m&ms for the eyes. Let them dry completely before you move them.

I got this recipe from my good friend Elizabeth a few years ago. It is such a hit! We call it Monster Mash

1-2 bags of popcorn. Make sure you get all the unpopped kernels out. In a big bowl mix melted white chocolate (isn't everything better with chocolate?) over the popcorn. Spread out on a cookie sheet with wax paper. Sprinkle m&ms all over and let it dry. When dry crumple it up and put in a big bowl.
These are so simple to do as you can tell but so fun do with the kids. Enjoy and if you have any fun recipes you do with your kids send them my way. Thanks!

Spring Valley Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Lauren and Luke's school have a contest every year on decorating a pumpkin based on a character in a book. We had a hard time deciding this year! Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions. This is what we chose. .... (This is Landry's pumpkin. He wanted a pumpkin too! Lauren and Luke helped him decorate it.)
The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle
(Luke's pumpkin)

Henny Penny by Paul Galdone
(Lauren's pumpkin. Notice the small acorn on his back)

We turned in the pumpkins today. They will be judged Friday. It doesn't matter to them if they won. They just enjoy showing their friends their pumpkin.

Host a Murder Party at the Reeds

Penny (Pam), Trashy Trudi, Pris (Karen)
This weekend we had a "Host a Murder Party" at our house. It was so much fun! If you have never done this I highly recommend it. It is so fun to watch your friends get into character and find out who did it. I sent out invitations a couple of weeks ago to the Hoodies with a note saying who they will be playing and a brief description of their character. The murder we were doing was Class of '54. It was their 5 year reunion and Rock N. Roley the famous singer from their class was to appear at Malties soda shop (our kitchen) to meet his old buddies.......only he didn't........ Dunt, dun, daaa.........he had been murdered. Casey and I had the house decorated in the 50's style, we ate Whataburger hamburgers, and had banana splits for dessert. (only we got to caught up in the game for these. darn it! We forgot) Here are a few fun pictures from our night. I spent most of the night laughing so hard that I forgot to take more pictures! If you want to know more about the game email me. It really is a lot of fun!

Wrong side of the tracks Dee (Mindy) was hilarious!

Successful Joe ( Jeff ) and Cheerleader E.C. (David) getting into the game.

Oh, the little hoodies had their own little Par-tay down the street with a couple of SWEET sitters. They had a great time!

Class of '54 Prom Queen and King.....Betty Lou and Frankie. I so dig that baby blue tux Honey!

E. C making a move on my Frankie. Oh-no-u-didn't!

Money bucks Penny (Pam), Bad boy Shannon, Star athlete Del (Troy) reading their parts.

E.C. was hilarious with his/her voice!

Sweet Haddie and Dee

Bad boy Rick (Trey) and Smarty pants Pris (Karen) They were scandalous!

AND the murder is.........nerdy Cal (Elizabeth) She was such a good sport! She and David switched rolls to our surprise due to the sweet baby boy bun in the oven. She had us all rolling!
