Mrs. Scott's class had a Thanksgiving party right before break. The little preKers took their turkey feather home to decorate and then bring it back to place on Tom Turkey. It was really neat to see all of the "colorful and creative feathers"
Landry made us want to cry when we saw what he was thankful for.....his family.

"The Best Birthday Ever"....
are the words I heard from my sweet 7 year old.
It started off with birthday streamers (this is something we have always done with the 3L's since they were little. They get to have streamers on their door all week) and then it was time to open up a few presents before school.

We ate lunch with Luke at school and brought cupcakes for his class. That Friday it happened to be 2 other kids birthdays in his class too. Each kid ended up with 3 cupcakes. Boy, was it a good day for Luke's teacher Mrs. B to be gone. Poor sub teacher with all that sugar high!

Those Big Blue Eyes.......
are the first thing I remember seeing as I held you in my arms for the first time on November 20,2002. I fell in love! You were everything I dreamed of and more. A little baby boy to hold and love forever. Now........
7 years later I still look into those Big Blue Eyes and fall in love with you all over again. Happy 7th Birthday Lukey! Your daddy and I LOVE you so very much. You still are everything we dreamed of and more.
Love~Mom and Dad

There is a Chipmunk in our house.....
and He seems to be stocking up for winter in our couch! Yikes.....we just happened to peek under the cushions of our couch and found Landry's stash. Oh my.........Casey and I about died. ha! It seems he has placed every Halloween wrapper, Popsicle stick, socks, etc. in there instead of going to the trash can or laundry room. Little Stink!
I am shocked! I think I have a pretty clean house over here (most of the time) but finding this makes me wonder where else my little chipmunk has placed his goodies......little stink!
He knew he was in trouble......I found him in his closet with the door shut. I just have to laugh! Who knew? I guess I should have known because the last time my mom and grandmother kept the kids while Casey and I were away my grandmother found 8 pairs of shoes in the red couch. All of them were Landry Love.....little stink!

Landry~ You are a stinker but we sure LOVE you.
No more little chipmunk!

Luke's First Grade Open House Night
Recently we went to Luke's school for open house and see all of the wonderful things he has been learning about in class.
He could not wait to show us his work and say hello to his sweet teacher, Mrs. B.
Last year in kindergarten Luke hated to color. He would try every excuse to not have to color. Now look at him! He has turned into a little artist and enjoys it now.
So proud of your hard work Lukey boy!
Bertie the First Place Bat on display.
You are doing an amazing job at your school.
Keep up the good work!

A little night time competition for Casey and I....
It used to be a treat for Casey and I to read to Landry at night. To cuddle up to this little guy and read books at night was the perfect way to end our day. Move over mom and dad.....Luke has taken our spot.
Man, I cherish precious times like this and give thanks for two sweet brothers.

The last of the "Fabulous 10" left today.....
and we can't help but be a little sad. The puppies have brought us so much joy. It has been so good for the 3L's to help raise these sweet guys. They have learned so much..........to calm a hungry puppy while waiting for its turn to eat (sharing is a good thing), clean up after them (yes, even that. Hey, if we were going to do this as a family we all had to participate!), pray for a good home for them, and to have respect and compassion for God's animals. The list could go on.
It is hard to believe that the day is here that the last little pup went home. This is the note I found on Luke's door this morning. It says" Lost Dog, her name is dot if you find her call ****"
Now that broke my heart! This was his favorite puppy. The good news is we have been so blessed with wonderful homes for these guys that all of them are keeping in touch with the 3L's! We have already received some wonderful pictures of them and their new homes.
