Yes, thank you Lord it is Friday! Daddy comes home late tonight. He has been gone all week with meetings in Vegas. I think it has been a pretty long week for him too. Vegas sounds fun but not when you are in meetings all day. My sweetheart did get some good news while he was there. He won his award trip to St. Martin. Woo-hoo!!!! We will get to go in June and be there for our 12th anniversary. This kind of news made my week a little better without daddy. ha!

It has been one long week with the 3L's. We are all missing him so much. There is just nothing like being together as a family. The world runs a little smoother. Landry has been my bed partner all week so daddy may have to find a new place to sleep. jk!

Walk for Diabetes and some special guest come to town!

Friday was Spring Valley's Walk for Diabetes day. I joined Lauren and Luke to walk with them to raise money for this worthy cause. Boy, I wasn't really expecting to get such a workout but I did! We walked 25 laps which equals 1 mile. I got in a good 2 miles that day. It was so much fun walking with Lauren and her friend, Makenna. They about died when the song YMCA was playing and I was doing the moves to it....oh, the humiliation from mom. ha!
The special guest that came to town were my parents! I absolutely LOVED having them here. We live 8 hours away so we don't really get to see each other that often. The 3L's loved having them here too.The interesting thing while they were here is that they got 6-12 inches of snow at their house in Hereford. They were pretty glad to have missed the snowy weather.

Oh, did I mention that it was also pajama day for the fourth graders on Friday? Lauren and Hallie in their pj's at school.

Then it was Luke's turn to Walk for Diabetes. At one point I somehow ended up being the leader of 65 kindergartners in the bunny hop. ha! Luke giggled all the way.

We had a fun time!

Time with my parents went by too fast. It was a laid back weekend. Just enjoying our time together. The 3L's love their grandparents!

I love you mom and dad. Thank you for coming! I miss you both so much.

Landry's Caterpillar

One day this week Landry was the only one at Ms. Heather's school due to his little friends being sick. (We have been so BLESSED with Landry being well lately. Knock on wood!) Heather called the night before to let us know Landry would be the only child there and she just wanted to let him know ahead of time that she had big plans for the two of them.

Landry made a caterpillar cake with Heather that day. He was so excited when I picked him to show me what he had made. It just warms my heart to know that while I am at work this sweet lady is loving on my son! I am so thankful for her.

Here is Landry and "Katy-Pillar" as he calls it. When Heather's daughter got home from school Landry got to help Cami with her caterpillar cake. On the way home he said "Lauren and Luke are going to be so excited to eat my Katy-pillar but I am saving the head for you mommy cause he has a smile like you do when you pick me up from school"..............I cried all the way home! ha.

I look at this sweet girl (in pink) everyday who is up to my shoulders now in height, talking about a silly boy who made faces at her, and how much she loves to wear pink polish on her toes with silver polka-dots. She is not a little girl anymore but now this blossoming preteen right before my eyes. Slow down baby girl....you are growing up way too fast!

Luke had a daddy date last night. Casey took him to see the

Red Raiders play Baylor in baseball. Luke was so excited to go! Baseball season starts soon for Luke and he is really getting into it. Sure does make this Dad excited over here! Go Red Raiders!
Casey and I have been trying to do individual dates with the 3L's. They really seem to love this and it is amazing how much they talk throughout the date. ha! Casey and Luke had the best time together. You can tell on Luke's face.

Great Grandmother Meme Reba

What a joy it was to have Casey's grandmother and Mom visit us Tuesday! They decided to take a little drive into Waco to see the 3L's. I will never forget meeting Meme Reba for the first time when Casey and I were dating. She made me feel like part of the family already. I loved everything about her.....especially her smile. She has always been a beautiful person inside and out. I know Casey was thrilled to see his grandmother here in Waco. Thank you Meme Bridget for bringing her to our house!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day we died the pool green! Well, maybe not. Mother nature did that. Yikes! After 5 inches of rain the other day we now have a beautiful green oasis in our backyard. For this reason the Reed country club is offering a discount on our memberships. Jk!

My sweet hubby surprised me yesterday with setting up a date. He even called the sitter! I can't think of the last time we did this. Shame on us for not doing this more often.
