Superbowl Hoodie Style 2009

What a way to have a Superbowl party....Hubbies at one house and the Hoodies at the other! Our sweet Hoodie gang got together this weekend for some good times. Check out Mindy's blog to get the whole story. She said it perfect! I just wanted to add some more fun pictures to our Hoodie Bowl 2009.
This boy is a heart breaker. Look out little ladies. He is charming!
Haddie Cakes waiting to get this par-tay started!
Our future hoodie quarterback, Brady.

Cheerleaders...Abby, Lauren, and Jillian
BFF in da'Hood
Haddie offering RoRo some cheese puffs. I felt honored because she just doesn't let anyone have some of her puffs!

One of the funniest things was watching Dylan flirt with Mindy. He would say "I wub you Minny" and smile. Oh, he is going to be a ladies man for sure.

Having fun in Haddie's room.

My Hoodie girls plus one little Hoodie in the oven. I can't wait to meet this baby boy!
Well, the men may think that they had it made with their very own house just full of guys watching football. I disagree! This was the house to be at. Fo' sho! We had sooo much fun watching our wild indians play and having some good ol girl talk. I will take that any day!

Did I mention Wild Indians?

Go Green Fireballs!

Yes, you heard right. Go Green Fireballs! This is the name of Luke's team. Hey, this is what ya get when you leave it up to a bunch of 6 year olds to name their team. ha! This is Luke's first year to play basketball. He has so much to learn but he is all smiles running up and down the court. This weekend Luke had a special treat having Meme and Pop come watch his game. So sweet of them to come all this way for a little game.
Luke warming up....and trying to not get hit by a ball! He is #4.

Luke really seemed to be having a good time. He hasn't really caught on that you need to Hustle down the court but he sure knows how to Hustle to the water fountain. Love that Kid!

Luke is BY FAR the tallest kid on his team (at school too).
I don't know if basketball will be Luke's sport to love in the future but he sure is having fun with it now.
Proud Daddy
Landry and Lauren came to cheer on their favorite player.

Sweet Luke, no matter what you do in life or what your niche is I hope you always have fun at it! Mom and Dad will always be your BIGGEST FANS and support anything you decide to do. We are so proud of you and who you are growing up to be. Love you Lukey~Mom and Dad

Thankful Thursday~Two peas in a pod

These two are getting more and more alike each day. I can't tell if it is just that Landry loves his big brother and wants to do and act just like him or if they both are just really a lot alike. Does that even make sense? Whatever it is I sure love seeing Pete and Repeat enjoying each other! Casey calls this picture his little Hugh Hefners (because of the robes). I absolutely love that they have each other and always will. It makes me sad for Lauren to not have a sister but I grew up with 2 older brothers and no sisters. I think that is why my mom is one of my very best friends. My relationship with Lauren feels like this too.
I am having a Thankful Thursday moment!

You have a smile so bright!

My beautiful Lauren got her braces off today. Yeah! She was 7 years old when they put them on. Bless her heart she has a really small mouth and lots of teeth that want to come in on top of each other. She gets to keep her braces off for 2 years.....then back on. She was beyond thrilled! Here she is a little nervous about taking them off. If you have ever had braces then you know that the orthodontist's chair is not very fun at times.
What a champ she was! Tomorrow she will get her sparkly retainers to wear after school. Oh sweet Lauren, your teeth have already come a long way. You have a smile so bright! Love you sweetpea~mom

Wii Par-tay!

This weekend we had the Hoodies over for a jam session on the Wii. (a note to our sweet hubbies......don't quit your day job. jk!) The little hoodies had a chance to get together and play. It is always a hit when Walker comes to play.

Landry and his little date, Haddie. These two just had the best time at their little table together. So cute.
Some serious jammin going on!
The groupies (One of our beautiful hoodies is going to be having a baby boy soon. We can't wait!)
Kari and Karen (sisters) Such Rock stars!
Even Landry had to show off his skills to his date.
The Wii party continued on this morning with Lauren. She is so into this! Is it wrong for my ten year old to know all of the words by Bon Jovi?
Such a Diva!
and her band.
So it looks like the Reeds will be going on tour now. As long as I can be the road manager I am in! Fun times with the Wii.

Appy's Apple Cake

Hey Friends, this is a cake that my mom bakes. It is so easy and makes the house smell so yummy! Blessings~Robin

Appy's Apple Cake

1 1/4c oil
2 c sugar
3 eggs
3 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp soda
3 c chopped fine apples (fuji is what she uses) (3-4 apples) peal them and cut into small chunks
1 c pecans chopped
1 c coconut

Mix eggs. Add sugar and oil. Add dry ingredients. Add apples, pecans, and coconuts. Mix.
Bake in 2 loaf pans. Spray Pam on the pans first. Then bake for one hour (if using a smaller pan then bake 40 minutes. If you cook it less than an hour or 40 minutes it will not be done and will be gooey inside) at 325 degrees. Let it set for a bit and then turn them out. Enjoy!

Words to think about from Mom....

3L's, a few things I want you to think about. ~American has the words I CAN in it. You can!

~The person who looks up to God rarely looks down at anyone.

~Circumstances may be outside of your control, but the way you respond to them is not.

~The best way to stop worrying is to start praying.

~Take time to find God in the small stuff. When you see God in the small stuff, your life becomes more meaningful.
~Be yourself, everyone else is taken.
There is so much more I want to tell you. I hope that you really think about the few messages above. I Love you 3L's so very much.~Mom

"A family that plays together stays together"

is a quote I always heard growing up from my mom. My mom was a school teacher so she had many of these little tid bits to give. ha! This one has always stuck in my mind and I am glad it did. Like probably most families this time of year, we have been having lots of cabin fever at our house. Casey and I decided to join the 3L's and get bikes. This way we can all go for bike rides around the neighborhood. Whoever said "it is just like riding a bike, you never forget" was crazy! Landry and his McQueen bike from Santa
You can't miss these two with their flags.

A little "Guns Up" Texas Tech style bike riding.

3L's when you read this someday I hope you have fond memories of us playing together. Spending time with you is always fun!
